Monica received both Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Nutrition and Food Science from California State University, Northridge. She has been providing Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) and nutrition counseling for the past 10 years. Monica has worked with individuals and families in a variety of settings such as inpatient hospitals and outpatient clinics, in home health care, acute psychiatric hospitals, and at private boarding schools in Ojai.

Her areas of expertise include: Healthy Eating, Weight Management, Sports Nutrition, Diabetes/Hypoglycemia, Gastrointestinal Disorders, Food Allergies & Intolerances, Women’s Health, Cardiovascular Disease, Kidney Disease, Vegetarianism, and Eating Disorders.

Monica’s goal in working with people is to provide them with the guidance, motivation, and necessary information and tools to successfully reach and maintain their health and nutrition and ultimately assist them in eating healthier, feeling better, and to embrace eating as an enjoyable experience.
